American Training

DESCRIPTION

  • Overview of Organization and Services:
From the very first day we opened our doors over 35 years ago we made a commitment to excellence in service to people with disabilities, youth-at-risk and adults looking to improve their skills through life-long learning programs. It is our unwavering belief that within each one of us is the potential to improve our life far beyond our imagination. Whether a person with disabilities is looking to become an active, involved member of the community, a young person is trying to find direction for the future, or an adult is looking to learn a new marketable skill on which to build an exciting career, we are here to inspire, guide and help every step of the way. We do it because we are passionate about bringing out the best in every one we touch and making each Life Matter.

American Training offers a complete line of services for its Guests, Students, and Residents enabling them to participate in the community with dignity and productivity.

Day Services offers training, job placement, counseling, and support while addressing medical, clinical, and therapeutic needs. Specialized Housing gives individuals independence and safety within a community, and our TASH and Highfields Programs offer affordable housing while promoting the development of skills and relationships. Our LARE Institute is the heart of our educational, occupational skill training and job placement programs. Skills and tools for growth give way to meaningful careers, and Contract Services brings the job opportunities to our own communities. Vanway, our cutting-edge fleet, provides a safe way to get to the job and back.
