- Overview of Organization and Services:
Mitch’s Place offers temporary overnight shelter to homeless individuals year-round. Guests receive a bed, meals, and staff support to secure needed health and social services. Mitch’s Place was first organized in 1987 as a winter (six month) program to accommodate the addicted population as well as those in psychiatric distress. Today, Mitch’s Place is a 30-bed, year-round emergency overnight shelter for single men and women. In the winter months, the shelter offers life-saving support for up to 45 individuals.
