DESCRIPTION
- Overview of Organization and Services:
The mission of the Council on Aging is to match the needs of elders with the resources in the community. Services include health and wellness, legal and tax assistance, transportation, meals on wheels, social programming, assistance applying for housing, property tax work program, and trips.
The new senior/ community center in Newburyport has an arts and crafts room, exercise room, pool table and library. There are regularly scheduled activities, such as games,art, book groups, fitness classes and some health checks (e.g., blood pressure).
