DESCRIPTION

  • Overview of Organization and Services:
    The mission of The Pettengill House, Inc. is to support and empower children and families by providing education, comprehensive case management and basic needs; and by coordinating community supports that contribute to individual and family stabilization, personal growth and development.

    Services include:
    Comprehensive case management
    Crisis intervention
    Food pantry and basic needs assistance
    Emergency financial assistance (rent, utilities, groceries, etc.)
    SNAP application assistance
    MassHealth application assistance
    Substance addiction services
    Senior wellness and outreach
    Individual and family stabilization
    School Link Service program (working with schools and families to improve well-being and help students succeed)

    The Pettengill House, Inc. collaborates closely with area school districts in providing students and their families with extensive case management, family stabilization, basic needs, health services, advocacy, counseling referrals, crisis intervention, emergency assistance, and prevention education programs.

    The goal of all programs is to support self-sufficiency while improving individual and family quality of life
    To become a client of The Pettengill House, Inc. you must provide a photo ID, proof of address, and set up an appointment to complete an intake to identify services needed. Towns served: Amesbury, Byfield, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury.
