DESCRIPTION
- Overview of Organization and Services:
This office runs 42 elderly one-bedroom apartments and 12 family two- and three-bedroom apartments for the State.
Every applicant must completely fill out the Universal Standard Application to be considered for public housing. Section 8 applications may be submitted once to any participating housing authority to be placed on a central state-wide wait list. You do not need to contact each office. You can download and print from www.massnahro.org. The Section 8 wait list is several years long.
Once you are placed on a waitlist, you must notify each Housing Authority, in writing, of any change of address. Waitlist verifications are sent out periodically from each Housing Authority and if no response is received, you will be removed from the waitlist. No exceptions.
